What does automobile liability insurance cover?

Yesterday, my family had a post family reunion get together. Around 1 am I had passed out in the backseat of my car in my grandmother%26#039;s driveway (where the party was). My cousin proceeded, without having asked my permission, to crank the car and drive it around the yard. In route, he side swiped a tree causing close to four thousand dollars worth of damage to my vehicle. Will his liability insurance cover his damages to my car?
What does automobile liability insurance cover?
You may have to take this to court.
What does automobile liability insurance cover?
Sorry, no..Unless you have no collision coverage on your own insurance. Unfortunately, the keys were available to him, whether or not you gave permissive use.

You would have to use your own collision coverage and get your deductible from him.
Reply:This has happened to many times in different places.

1st Fault .... Where were the Keys ...? Permission or not if the keys were in the ingition your at fault, 50%

You will have to take him to court to get him to pay ?... Yes if he doesn%26#039;t want to make it right.

3 parts to Policys

His insurance does NOT cover him to drive another vehicle under Liability only... Liability only covers him Driving the car he has insurance on.

Next if you have Full coverage or Liability with Uninsured underinsured your company will pay and will fight for you if you have your Cousin%26#039;s insurance information...

If you both have the same Company coverage and He has Full coverage and you have full coverage they will work it out most likely...
Reply:In most states, in most cases, If a person with a valid license, that has permission to drive an insured car, will be covered by that cars insurance. Do you want to say you gave him permission to drive your car ? If the answer is yes, then you can use your own insurance to pay. Sometimes the drivers own insurance will extend to the vehicle they drive. You will have to figure out which way you want to go.
Reply:It is gonna take a while to find the answer for your question on internet.I provide a related and good resource here for your reference.
