After driver was released to go home drugs were found in car after it was impounded?

I was stopped for not yealding to the rigt of way. After being detained on the side of the road for about 2 hours, and no drugs was found in my truck, I was released to go but my truck was impounded for not providng proof of insurance. When I went to get my truck I was told the officer found a small amount of marjuana in it. I am an e-con but have been clean for 7 months.

get a good lawyer. the truck was searched and nothing was found. truck was impounded until you could show proper insurance. that should have been the end of the story. seems like a second search would have been illegal, especially if they didn%26#039;t have some sort of warrant or just cause. i find it kind of funny they didn%26#039;t find anything the first time but found some the second.

i agree with the first poster as well. submit to a drug test to show you weren%26#039;t using.
Reply:Your defense can be that the weed was planted. The circumstances of the second search may be important. Was the car watched the entire time. From being towed from the scene til it got to the impoundment yard and was searched a second time to make sure no one else could have planted the weed? Who watched ? Will they testify in court?
Reply:There is no absolutely sure answer for your question.Nevertheless, explorer the resources here might offer you some tips.HOpe it helps.http://home-insurance.featured-resources...
Reply:first of all you should have followed the yeild to right of way, second, whoever put those drugs there should have hid them better so that the cops dont find it, but cops do suck, and it cost money to fight them in court, so get a good lawyer, cause you backround sounds like its against you right now, so, sorry about your luck, bad things happen to good people sometimes and we gotta look for ways to get over those things
