Taxing a hire car?

Does anyone know that when you use a courtesy car and the tax runs out, is it automatically taxed by the company that has let you use the car?
Taxing a hire car?
Yes, it%26#039;s their car, they have the paperwork, they are registered keepers, they deal with it.
Taxing a hire car?
Yes it is their responsibility not yours.
Reply:yes they need to do it as they have the v5 docs.
Reply:Taxing the car is the responsibility of the hire company but, if you drive the car without an up to date tax disc you are liable to prosecution if stop by the Police because you are the one who is committing the traffic offence.
Reply:its their car and their responsibility but if the tax is out dont drive it on the road ring them up and demand a replacement vehicle immediately after all you are paying for something you cant use
Reply:Not your problem if you say you never noticed that it wasn%26#039;t taxed.

However if you know about it then the police could argue that you shouldn%26#039;t have driven it knowing that it wasn%26#039;t taxed.

Remember even if the car is taxed it is still an offence not to display the disc
Reply:im sure they would be very pleased if you offered to tax the car for them, but no!! its not your problem it theres!
