Cherished Number Plate History?

Is there a way of tracing the history of a cherished number plate? I have recieved one as a gift and am interested in its past, especially the first vehicle it was registered to.

Its not generally possible from DVLA





If its a cherished, try google, as it may have been shown or advertised before.





I found some J1MNY history on the net, then you can email people etc.





Go on, show off, whats the reg you have? I have my name on one car and a classic old plate on the other.





You never know, someone may recognize it, try asking the question again but put the REG in the Title!

Reply:Erm no you can%26#039;t because the information is data protected. The fee paying enquiry will give you the vehicle history not the number plate history
